About Sundari

Guiding you back to your own power, clarity, and embodied truth.

A little about me…

I was born to yogi parents and raised within a rich blend of spiritual and ancestral traditions, including Hindu philosophy as well as diasporic practices such as Obeah and Hoodoo. These early influences shaped my understanding of life as deeply interconnected, cyclical, and sacred.

In 2007, at the age of 27, after seven years as her caregiver, I lost my mother to breast cancer. Four years later, I lost my father to complications from brain cancer. These experiences fundamentally reshaped my path and deepened my commitment to understanding grief, mortality, and the human experience of transition.

They also became the foundation of my work.

Today, I support individuals, families, and institutions through some of life’s most significant thresholds—birth, grief, and death—alongside the emotional, physical, medical, and systemic realities that accompany them. My work bridges care within personal, clinical, and organizational contexts, offering both practical support and deeper restoration of meaning, regulation, and presence.

I am a Birth, Grief and Death Doula. I am a Yoga, Breathwork and Meditation teacher. I’m a contributor to Help Texts,  Get Griefy Magazine and a Grief expert with the For Grief Speakers Bureau. I’m the Author of the book Grief Gems and the founder of A Healing Doula Academy where I train practitioners in spiritually rooted ancient care.

Across all of my work, my intention remains the same: to help people meet life’s most profound transitions with steadiness, clarity, and dignity—while reconnecting to their own inner capacity for healing and presence.

Welcome. May this be a space where you find what you need, and remember what has always been within you.
